Our Mission
Founded in 2002, the Yamhill County Cultural Coalition (YCCC) supports and strengthens cultural life throughout Yamhill County by funding local arts, heritage, and humanities projects. Through an annual competitive grant program, YCCC awards grants to organizations and individuals working to engage the community, preserve local history, and expand access to cultural experiences across the county.
Since 2004, YCCC has distributed over $1,000,000 in grant funding to support cultural projects throughout Yamhill County.
Funding Update: The application window for the yearly grant cycle typically opens October 1 and closes November 15. Applicants can expect to be notified of funding decisions in late December, with grant agreements and checks generally issued by the end of January.
How the Oregon Cultural Trust Supports Yamhill County
The Oregon Cultural Trust provides stable, statewide funding for arts, heritage, and humanities through Oregon’s County and Tribal Cultural Coalitions. Each year, 25% of the Trust’s grant funds are distributed directly to these local coalitions, ensuring that every community in Oregon has access to cultural funding.
The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition (YCCC) receives funding from the Cultural Trust and uses those dollars to support locally driven cultural projects. Led by community volunteers, YCCC identifies county-specific priorities and awards annual grants that strengthen arts education, preserve local history, and support cultural programs for people of all ages.
Through this partnership, donations to the Oregon Cultural Trust are returned to Yamhill County to fund cultural work that reflects the needs, creativity, and identity of our community. Without the Cultural Trust, many counties, especially rural areas, would have limited or no access to state cultural funding.
