Founders' Lobby Gallery
May 8 – July 8
This exhibition is a selection of ten to twelve collages on wood panel. The collages are created with hand-printed papers using ink and paint, and some pieces include fragments of maps and sheet music. The work is contemporary in style and presentation, with abstracted botanical imagery in vivid, earthy colors. The cradled wood panels are wired on the back for ease and flexibility of hanging. The collages are created in series of two or more at a time, bringing rhythm and cohesiveness to the overall body of work. The pieces selected for this exhibition portray continuity, flow, and a balance of color and scale.
While her artwork is on display, Marcy will be teaching a one day workshop here at the Cultural Center. To find out more information about the workshop, click the button below.
