HARVEST FEST at the Yamhill Valley Heritage Center - Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14. A great event for all ages! Watch as crops are harvested using antique farm equipment and animals, hands-on kids’ activities, petting animals, working blacksmith and sawmill, stage coach rides, tractor parade at 1pm each day, agricultural and historical displays, food, music and more. Opening ceremonies and VFW flag raising at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Also featured - “Half Assed” ice cream made on site during Harvest Fest, cranked by mule power and using an antique ice cream maker connected to an authentic "horse power" unit making ice cream with a "mulish" kick! Open Saturday, Aug. 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon-4 p.m. Admission is $5; free for kids 12 and under.
